Do i get over him, or talk to him?

a while ago i kissed this guy, and since then we've been texting, but hes seeing someone else and when i found i we had a mive argument and now we aren't talking.. but i really miss him, even just the banter.. what do i do?! i don't want to get over him, so do i have to? and is there a way to get him to talk to me again! :(
