In the Bible, Heb 6--8..What is man that thou art so mindful of him?

Seems to imply that God loves us so much that he offers his help to each and everyone of us, yet sadly we most often turn our backs to him even when tossing and struggling to stay alive amidst huge waves in an ocean of trials and adversities that threatens to drown us ? WHY my friend, WHY ?
