Anyone familiar with the novel "Do Androids Dream of Electric Sheep" and the fictional religion of Mercerism?

answer: Empathy and a mandate to "repair the world" is something that I appreciate about Judaism as I study it. I think a lot of religions teach the "do unto others" or "do not do to others what you don't wish done to you" but many fall short, especially if they consider themselves above or over nature and the earth. MANY religions are much more interactive with caring for the earth and nature.
