I'm in tears right now....please help! How to deal with 4th grade students?

aw im so very sorry. but while i was reading i think i might have came up with an idea but im not sure it would work due to the students ur workin with. i thought maybe u should scare them just a bit. like when they walk in hand each of them a test on everything u've tried to cover and tell them something like " this test counts for more then half of your grade. if you dont p then u will have a failing grade." idk lol im sorry im tryin to come up with something good but nothins coming.=( and if u cant come up with nothin, if i was you, i would quit. im sorry=(
