Is the grandma from..... 10 POINTS!!!!?

Is the grandma from the mothers side more related to the baby then the grandma from the fathers side? when talking to a biology teacher (ex nurse) she told me this was true because the lady who had the baby was born with all her eggs, whereas the father of the baby produces his sperm on his own, so biologically the mothers side of the family is more related in DNA terms to the child? this was told to me by a professional?
